Jocelyn Strong

UX Researcher, Designer, and Artist

Mission: Help people & promote positive change.

I’m an Austin-based UX Designer. Before entering the design field, I earned a BA in Psychology from UT Austin while working in hospital settings. Through those experiences I knew I wanted to help people. I’ve worked as a coach, graphic designer, and in healthcare, and now that I've earned my UX Design certificate I’m looking forward to working in UX Design where I can merge my experiences to help advocate for customers through user centered research & design.

UX Case Studies

SAFEcar - remote car monitoring app and alarm system

Based on generative research, I designed an app to monitor your car remotely and alert you of activity around your car. During this project I saw it through planning, prototyping, and refinement stages based on usability testing feedback.

mindfuLIST - app to help people buy products in recyclable packaging

Recycling is becoming more and more accessible, and Americans could use some help in taking advantage of recycling efforts. Can we create an app that can change behavior for the better? For this case study I focused on generative research, prototyping & usability testing.

music-store

Amoeba Music - music store website

Amoeba is an independent record store that wants to improve usability of their website. I focused on evaluative & usability testing to discover customer pain points & test improvements for customers.

SharedUX - desktop app to help UX Design students track progress and share resources.

The amount of UX Design resources online are constantly growing. How can a UX Design student keep up with the onslaught of information to learn during their education and beyond? During this case study I focused on collaborating with the UX Researcher and iterating prototypes in Adobe XD following team critiques.
